SMARTBOX Helps
Smartbox is proud to be a part of this year’s Chris Evert Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic which is being held November 22-24 at the Delray Beach Tennis Center and the Boca Raton Resort & Club. Retired tennis pro, Chris Evert, started this amazing fundraiser back in 1989 to help raise money to support at-risk families throughout the state of Florida. She was committed to raising awareness and finding ways to prevent family and social problems related to substance abuse. To date, Chris Evert’s efforts have raised more than $25 million in an ongoing campaign against drug abuse and child abuse in Florida. This year marks the 30th anniversary of this annual event and Hollywood celebrities and Wimbledon Champions are once again coming together to celebrate 30 years of one of the most successful charity events hosted by a professional athlete.
This multi-day event features two days of pro-celebrity tennis with some of the sports biggest names set to play alongside Chris Evert including International Hall of Famer Martina Navratilova as well as French Open doubles champion Luke Jensen. Other Hollywood celebrities set to attend are Chris Noth, who played the iconic “Mr. Big” on HBO’s Sex and the City, Carson Kressley of Bravo’s Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, comedian Jon Lovitz, Tate Donovan from Amazon’s Man in the High Castle, American Idol winner David Cook, Jamie McShane from Netflix’s Bloodline, and many others. Friday evening will also feature the Classic Cocktail Party and silent auction along with musical entertainment by the legendary Barry Gibb.
There is a lot of planning and logistics that go into putting together a charity event like this one and Smartbox is proud to be providing storage solutions for this weekend’s event. Our storage containers will provide easy and convenient on-site storage for all of the equipment and materials needed to host this event. Smartbox is grateful for the opportunity to be involved in such an extraordinary event that is doing so much to make a difference in the lives of children and families across Florida.
