The leaves are beginning to change and the air is becoming crisp. That can only mean one thing: fall is here!  The time has come when the sound of the lawnmowers is replaced with the crunching of leaves.  When fall arrives, it’s time to pack up those summer items that you won’t be using for the next few months. Since many of your summer belongings are not utilized in the fall, it’s time to pack them away and save the space in your home for more practical purposes.  Instead of cramming everything into closets, attic space, and the garage, you can store these items neatly out of the way in a storage unit.  Here are 4 items that can be packed in a portable storage container come fall.

Summer Clothing

It’s time to trade in those t-shirts and flip-flops for sweaters and boots.  Fall and winter clothing is much bulkier than summer clothing so you will need to maximize the space in your closets.  You can do this by packing up your summer wardrobe and storing in a portable container.  Not only will you make more room in your closet, but you can keep everything neatly organized in storage so it is easy to find in the spring.

Lawn Equipment

Summer has come to an end and that means it’s time to retire your lawn equipment for the next few months.  A lawnmower, weed whacker, blower, gardening tools, and hedge trimmers can take up a great deal of space in your garage or shed.  Not to mention, it’s not ideal to store this equipment in extreme temperatures.  Protect your equipment and save space at the same time by storing it in a portable container during the fall and winter months.

Patio Furniture

As the weather turns cool, people begin spending less time outdoors.  This is a great time to store your patio furniture for the coming months.  Patio furniture can be quite an investment and if you want to keep it looking good year after year you will need to care for it properly.  Consider putting it in storage during the fall so it will be well protected as soon as winter weather arrives.

Pool Accessories

Summer doesn’t last forever and the swimming season has come to an end.  Many people begin closing their pool in the fall and getting it ready for winter.  A portable storage container is ideal for storing pool equipment and accessories during the off-season.
